About Lhyfe Brake

The production site in Brake, situated in the harbor area of Niedersachsen Ports (NPorts), will be the pioneering source of green hydrogen in northern Germany. The facility’s groundbreaking ceremony took place in February 2024.

The electricity for hydrogen production will be reliably supplied by wind and photovoltaic plants in the country through corporate Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs), with various industrial and mobility applications as potential buyers.

This project marks a significant leap forward in the market expansion of green hydrogen and will play a pivotal role in decarbonizing the industrial port complex and maritime transport in Lower Saxony.
